Mick Taras has been a working musician since the young age of 18. He learned about the music business immediately, on his first major professional guitarist role, with the fine band, "Joe Perrino and the Mellowtones". His career fully developed in California, where he moved at the age of 25. After attending the "Musician Institute of Technology" in Hollywood, he built his music career with hard work, humility, and patience. The music scene in Los Angeles is so competitive that he had to learn fast: in order to make a good living as a musician, it takes more than just great talent. It takes the right attitude. Mick consistently strives for total excellence in every song, and reliably delivers just the right sound desired of him, by music/entertainment industry professionals.

Today, though Mick is now a well accomplished professional, he’s still working to enhance his craft, using his many well-seasoned talents. The response from the music industry shows: His fine guitar work can be heard on hundreds of records and movies (Undercover Angel, Blind Ambition, An American in China, April Apocalypse) and TV (Entertainment Tonight, Scrubs, Greek, Oh Sit, Cold Case).

He has toured, recorded and played with a diversely wide variety of artists such as: Neil Young, Shawn Colvin, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Josh Groban, Jonathan Butler, Jonny Lang, Little Feat, Robby Krieger, Kathrin McPhee, Faith Evans, Nelly, John Rich, Waddy Wachtel, Suzy Bogguss, Billy Dean, Gloria Estefan, Elaine Page, Thelma Houston, The Motels, Joe Jonas, Five for Fighting, Paulette McWilliams, Ken Burton, Melvin Lee Davis, Kenny Aronoff, Charles Billingsley, Tony Basil, Vanilla Ice, Ronnie Spector, Daniel Powter, Kari Jobe, Ken Reynolds.
